Schenectady Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Administrator to support daily operations and management of our skilled nursing facility. This role provides hands-on leadership experience and mentorship for individuals pursuing a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license and a long-term career in healthcare administration.
Responsibilities:
Assist the licensed Administrator with overall facility operations
Support department heads and staff to ensure quality resident care
Help oversee staffing, scheduling, and employee engagement
Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations
Participate in resident and family relations
Assist with audits, reports, and performance improvement initiatives
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems
Knowledge of healthcare regulations preferred
Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
