Assistant Director of Recreation

Amsterdam Nursing Home is hiring a Assistant Director of Recreation to work for our Skilled Nursing Facility in the heart of New York City.

DUTIES:

• Assist in developing, implementing & supervising all recreational services

• Assist in maintaining and developing recreational budget

• Plans individual and group recreation services, both therapeutic and general

• Assist in creating exciting & therapeutic recreation programs

• Assist in supervising all recreation assistants and volunteers

• Assist in all necessary documentation

• Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to employees

• Member of the interdisciplinary & management teams

REQUIREMENTS: 

• 3 years of Recreation experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred

• Excellent administrative and organizational skills

• Must enjoy working with the senior population
