Richmond Center is seeking a Behavior Specialist Director to oversee the coordination and implementation of resident-specific behavioral plans and interventions. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective organization of services, maintaining resident safety, and leading our dedicated team of behavioral specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assign behavior specialists to specific units and responsibilities.
- Ensure effective communication regarding behavioral services policies and procedures.
- Monitor and facilitate accurate data collection on resident behavioral status.
- Address staffing needs and communicate coverage requirements for behavioral services.
- Provide guidance and support for cognitive retraining and meaningful activity analysis.
- Contribute to program and curriculum development.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment and manage resident behavior during crises.
- Serve as a resource for interdisciplinary teams and participate in care plan meetings.
- Assume responsibilities of the Program Director during their absence.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in behavioral health or a related field, with a strong background in neurobehavioral issues.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Proven ability to manage complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in crisis intervention and ensuring the safety of residents and staff.
