Far Rockaway Center is looking for a Nursing Home Cook to work in thier skilled nursing facility in Queens, NY.

Duties:

• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of meals

• Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies

• Assist with tray line service during meal times

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas

• Wash and sanitize pots and pans

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Certification in healthcare cooking (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent)

• At least one (1) year of large-scale cooking experience

• Knowledge of therapeutic and large-scale food preparation

• Ability to perform physical tasks as needed

• Strong teamwork skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Good customer service and communication abilities

• Ability to oversee kitchen operations in the absence of a supervisor
