Dietary Director
Job Description
Onondaga Center is hiring a Dietary Director in Minoa, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, assign, and oversee the work of Food Service staff to ensure quality service.
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and assist with departmental payroll data entry.
- Supervise the proper storage and handling of food and supplies.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, storage areas, dining spaces, and equipment.
- Review residents' trays to confirm they align with specified menus and assist with tray service during mealtimes.
- Plan and coordinate food preparation for special events and functions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
- Willingness to step in for other roles within food and nutrition services, including cook or dietary aide.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
