Dietary Supervisor – Amsterdam Nursing Home (Full-Time)

Amsterdam Nursing Home in New York City is seeking an experienced Dietary Supervisor for our Skilled Nursing Facility. Prior supervisory & nursing home kitchen experience required.

DUTIES:

  • Plan, assign & oversee Food Service staff

  • Create schedules & prepare departmental payroll

  • Supervise storage, handling & rotation of food/supplies

  • Ensure kitchen, storage & dining areas are clean and compliant

  • Check resident trays for accuracy; assist on tray line during meals

  • Assist cooks with meal production when needed

  • Coordinate food preparation for special events

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior supervisory experience

  • Healthcare food service certification (ServSafe, Sodexo, etc.)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong communication & leadership skills

  • Team-oriented, organized & reliable
