Director of Maintenance/Environmental Services
Hope Center is hiring a Director of Maintenance/Environmental Services in Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities:
Maintains records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties, and inspections
Coordinating department operations, budgets, and monitoring expenditures
Ensure all maintenance work is in accordance with State/Federal & OSHA standards
Oversee and manage the environmental services department, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility
Develop and implement cleaning protocols and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
Coordinate and schedule custodial staff to ensure adequate coverage for all areas of the facility
Train and supervise custodial staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to cleaning standards
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as needed
Collaborate with other departments to address any environmental service needs or concerns
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in environmental services
Responsible for all maintenance department operations & personnel
Regular inspections of the facility, for safety, upkeep, appearance & equipment performance
Supervise and assign maintenance staff responsibilities and schedules
Schedule & ensure completion of all maintenance & repairs
Provide oversight of maintenance/repairs & ensure contracted services are completed in a timely fashion
Must have the ability to be “on-call” for emergency situations
Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the activities of reception personnel to ensure prompt, courteous, professional service.
Develops and implements daily receptionist work schedule.
Provides in-services for all reception personnel.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry & general maintenance
Prior supervisory experience in a Healthcare maintenance setting
· Previous experience in a leadership role within environmental services or a related field
· Strong knowledge of custodial practices, OSHA regulations, and commercial cleaning techniques
· Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Knowledge of hospital environmental service requirements is preferred
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Strong work ethic, intense drive, initiative for quality service
Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office
Ability to multi-task / stay on task & maintain focus in stressful situations
Evidence of solid leadership and supervision skills
