Home Health Aides (HHA) Supervisor - Utica, NY
Oneida Center is looking to hire an HHA Supervisor to oversee the HHA team in our Assisted Living program.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and support HHA staff and help ensure proper staffing and coverage.
Monitor HHA performance and provide guidance, coaching, and feedback as needed.
Help ensure HHA's follow facility policies, procedures, and care plans.
Monitor the quality of care provided to residents and report concerns to the appropriate department.
Assist with scheduling, staffing, and coverage needs.
Communicate with nursing and administration regarding resident and staff concerns.
Assist with training and orientation of new HHA employees.
Address employee questions and concerns and escalate issues when needed.
Help maintain accurate documentation and records.
Assist with addressing attendance, performance, and other employee issues.
Promote a positive and professional work environment.
Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Follow all applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar healthcare support role.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, professional, and compassionate.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
HHA certification or other applicable certification required, based on state and facility requirements.
