Home Health Aides (HHA)

The Bishop Center is actively seeking Home Health Aides (HHA) for full-time and part-time positions for our facility in Bishop, NY.

DUTIES:

  • Works under the guidance and direction of the clinical team
  • Follow the plan of care
  • Provides home health aide assistance to patients in their home
  • Provide simple health care, personal hygiene, housekeeping and related supportive services designed to allow patients the opportunity of remaining at home
  • Reporting any health issues to the supervising nurse.
  • Follow all clinical and office policies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and agency data

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid New York State HHA Certification.
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Compassionate Care
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for patients
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
  • Take pride in providing high quality care
  • Ability to read, write, and carry out directions
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and care for the physical demands of caring for a patient
