Department & Position Overview:

Amazing Home Care is actively seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Time Intake Specialist. The ideal candidate will have excellent social skills and ability to multi task and prioritize.

As an Intake Specialist you will work closely with consumers and personal assistants to educate them on the application and enrollment process. You will be working closely with the consumer’s insurance plan, the state department of health as well as inter-departmental teams within the business to ensure a quick and efficient turn-around time to get them to a start of care. You will be providing a seamless Customer Service experience, while ensuring that our clients are receiving the care they need. Every day You Will:

  • Ensure a seamless, complete and effective enrollment process for all prospective clients into the CDPAP program
  • Experience in high-volume inbound and outbound call environment
  • Be the initial point-of-contact for calls from prospective clients, personal assistants or pending enrollees
  • Manage a high open caseload until the enrollment process is complete
  • Consistently meet monthly goals for completed start of care
  • Provide exceptional customer service and positive experience for potential consumers/personal assistants
  • Regular communication with a variety of health plans regarding patient benefits and authorizations 
  • Navigate multiple systems and portals to determine eligibility and obtain authorization
  • Assist with other departments as needed
  • Maintain data input, scheduling, document uploading and initiate consumer enrollment confirmations

Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Experience in high-volume inbound and outbound call environment
  • Motivated to help consumers/caregivers with the drive to exceed open case targets and metrics
  • Must have poise and patience when dealing with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to comfortably resolve issues over the telephone
  • Computer proficiency required; strong typing skills and ability to leverage technology to identify, research and solve customer issues 
  • Keen attention detail, metrics driven, excellent time management skills
  • High empathy and collaborative team player,
  • out of the box thinker looking for ways to move cases ahead and anticipate any delays and remove barrier before they happen!
  • Flexibility and openness as the role and responsibilities may change and.or evolve as we grow!


  • Two years of relevant experience in a similar position is preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish, or other languages desired
  • Healthcare/startup experience
