Maintenance Mechanic (Plumbing Focus)
Job Description
Boro Park Center is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a strong plumbing background to join our Maintenance team.
DUTIES:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, and general building systems as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and document work performed.
- Collaborate with outside contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Respond to service requests and work orders promptly and professionally.
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plumbing systems, including pipes, drains, toilets, faucets, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Min. high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality service.
- Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office.
- Extensive experience in HVAC, electrical, carpentry & general maintenance.
- Extensive experience in plumbing is needed.
- 3-5 years of plumbing experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask/stay on task & maintain focus in stressful situations.
- Ability to work effectively individually and as a team member.
