Schedule: Per Diem

Are you passionate about patient care and ready to elevate your career? Primary Vascular Care is seeking a reliable, driven Medical Assistant to join our compassionate and highly skilled team. In this unique role, you’ll work across multiple settings—including our vascular care centers and nursing homes—gaining meaningful experience while making a genuine impact on the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth communication of protocols, policies, and workflows within our Vascular Care Center recovery area.

  • Provide compassionate post-procedure support, including patient comfort, safety, dressing management, and nutritional needs.

  • Serve as an essential liaison between physicians, nurses, and patients to promote coordinated care.

  • Maintain accurate daily documentation of all patient procedures.

  • Support registered nurses during examinations and procedures to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

  • Assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients between stretchers and wheelchairs.

  • Provide occasional coverage for Front Desk Coordinator duties as needed.

  • Collaborate with management to oversee restocking, supply management, and maintaining a sterile environment.

  • Safely dispose of biohazardous waste following regulatory guidelines.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with additional tasks or extended hours when required.

  • Uphold professionalism in all interactions with patients, staff, and physicians.

  • Adhere to HIPAA and office safety regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and clinical leadership.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel between multiple vascular care centers and nursing homes (personal vehicle required).

  • Minimum 1 year of patient care experience required.

  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

  • Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.

  • Updated physical, vaccines, and titers (PPD/TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella).

  • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations preferred.

  • Ability to lift and assist patients safely.

  • Comfort working in patient recovery settings.

  • Strong assessment abilities and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
