Nurse Practitioner: Community Health (Shelter)

Centers Urgent Care is looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the Children's Relief Fund (CRF) Shelter.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a practice that is passionate about patient & clinical care. Two years of prior experience in Urgent or Emergency care is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Examining and diagnosing patients of all ages and backgrounds courteously and efficiently
• Maintain charts accurately and comprehensively
• Creating diagnostic and treatment plans, sometimes including the prescription of medications, suturing, ordering of labs/medical imaging, or referring to outside specialists
• Guide the staff with your medical expertise and experience
• Provide in service staff training and consultation to the social service team

Qualifications:

• Preference is given to those who have previous experience with homeless and migrant populations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to assist populations of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences.
• Bilingual preferred.
• BLS required.
