Primary Vascular Care

Primary Vascular Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Compact State Nursing License to join our team. This position consists of four 10-hour shifts per week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the care of clients pre-op, intra-op, and post-surgery.

  • Assess and evaluate patients and monitor them continuously during the recovery phase.

  • Document all nursing activities and complete nursing discharge notes once the physician authorizes transfer to the progressive recovery room.

  • Assist anesthesiologists and other attending physicians as needed.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all equipment and necessary supplies are stocked and readily available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License required

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.

  • Moderate (Conscious) Sedation Certification required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association required.

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association required.

  • Physical, Vaccines, and Titers: PPD/TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella required.

  • COVID and Flu Vaccines preferred.

  • Minimum of 1+ years of recovery room experience in one or more of the following areas: Intensive Care, Critical Care, Emergency Room, Interventional Radiology, or Ambulatory Surgery.

  • Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the Center.

  • Ability to apply principles of growth and development across the lifespan and provide age-specific care per Center policies.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and critical thinking.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Control and the nursing process.

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Experience in vascular or outpatient surgery centers preferred.

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
