Talent Acquisition Recruiting Specialist

This Staten Island based on-site position is responsible for initiating and leading talent acquisition efforts to include full life cycle recruiting, developing and executing broad-based sourcing strategies, and ultimately delivering a viable talent pipeline for the business. As a strategic talent advisor to hiring teams, the Talent Acquisition Recruiting Specialist comes to the table with an informed point-of-view on the talent pool, advocates for both hiring managers and candidates throughout the hiring process, establishes regular touchpoints, provides diligent follow through resulting in an outstanding candidate experience and leverages data to influence decisions on hiring approach and strategies.



  • Utilize innovative sourcing techniques - Leverage technology to attract passive and active candidates
  • Develop social media and other creative and effective sourcing strategies to reach high quality candidates for the best ROI
  • Build collaborative relationships with hiring managers, interview teams, and other stakeholders
  • Build and maintain pipeline of qualified candidates to effectively minimize the time required to fill open positions
  • Partner to build, drive and participate in recruiting events i.e. virtual career fairs, college career fairs, diversity events and more
  • Report progress on assigned job vacancies on a regular basis; provide regular feedback on the performance of the recruitment process
  • Partner with candidates in a way that provides a top-notch experience, regardless of whether they end up getting an offer or not
  • Be a strategic partner to business leaders by providing compensation advice, market insight, and develop strategies to improve offer acceptance rates
  • Ensures compliance with proper hiring practices by remaining abreast of employment laws impacting the recruitment function
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5-8 years recruiting experience
  • Experience with an applicant tracking system(s)
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and consensus building skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment
  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and professionalism, must be capable of developing & executing action plans
  • Ability to interface well with candidates and employees at all levels
  • Intuitive, critical listening skills
  • Highly PC literate in Windows and Internet
